2018 Latin Billboard Music Awards

iSPARX™ developed & delivered an interactive Augmented Reality element to Telemundo Billboards 2018... with the simulcast on Telemundo and sister network Universo, the show reached a cumulative audience of 4,616,000 total viewers, including 2,321,000 adults 18-49.

The show also ranked as the #1 program regardless of language in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Houston, San Francisco and Sacramento, among adults 18-49.

The challenge from Telemundo, was to engage new and existing audiences of the live broadcast to the most prestigious awards show in the Latin music world, the 2018 Latin Billboard Music Awards. Celebrating 20 years of uninterrupted live broadcast on Telemundo, and for the first time, from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

iSPARX™ designed, developed and integrated "Experiencia VIP," an Augmented Reality (AR) experience. The idea, viewers with the new Telemundo Mas app, could enjoy an exclusive VIP experience as they watch the coveted awards show, by pointing their phone at the TV screen they were able to collect special celebrity items, and at the end were rewarded with exclusive AR video content.

iSPARX™ - Immersive Space Programme developed & delivered the AR element exclusively for New York Agency Two Goats & Telemundo NBC Universal in iOS & Android with full integration to the Telemundo MAS App. The result, 17% increase in app activity.

Jennifer Lopez joined the 2018 Billboard Latin Music Awards…

Lopez, who was in the middle of her All I Have Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood, performed a global premiere during the award show, which celebrated its 20th anniversary on the Telemundo network.

Lopez joined a roster of stars that included Bad Bunny, Becky G, Calibre 50, Cardi B, Chayanne, Christian Nodal, CNCO, Daddy Yankee, David Bisbal, De La Ghetto, Farruko, J Balvin, Karol G, Luis Fonsi, Maluma, Natti Natasha, Nicky Jam, Ozuna, Paty Cantu, Quavo, Reik, Ricky Martin, Sebastian Yantra, Sofia Reyes, Victor Manuelle, Wisin, and Yandel.  Latin rock stars Maná also performed and received Billboard’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Billboard Latin Music Awards are the culmination of the Billboard Latin Music Conference April 23-26 at The Venetian in Las Vegas. The conference featured panel and Q&A sessions with stars like Maluma, Ozuna, Bad Bunny, Maná, Pitbull, Christian Nodal and Steve Aoki.
